My Review:
Finally I have come across something different! This book is
pretty amazing. Sarah J Maas has literally created her own world in this
thrilling, adventurous and romantic story. (map included) Those of you who
enjoyed the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini and the Abhorsen trilogy
by Garth Nix should love this new series. I know I did.
Celaena Sardothien has spent her life being judged and still
remained proud of her profession, even spending a year in the dreaded Endovier
salt mines for her sins but now she is being offered an opportunity that she
can hardly refuse. After barely surviving the year she is now offered a chance
at freedom but she will have to swallow her pride and jump through hoops to do
so, even go against everything she stands for but if she refuses she will die
from staying in Endovier much longer, and who could make a decision like that.
Throughout this story the reader will see glimpses of humour,
betrayal, mythical creatures, death, trials, a twisted king, a handsome and
witty prince and a solemn and serious guard.
It was easy to fall in love with Throne of Glass for all its
good parts and bad. It will leave you intrigued and wanting more. J

ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fantasy fan so when I saw rave reviews for this one, I went and ordered the book from TBD. Can't wait until it arrives. Looks great. Love this cover too better than the other one, I think this is the UK cover.
