Waiting on Wednesday (#3)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine,
which spotlights upcoming books we can't wait to read.

My WoW for this week is:

Inbetween (Kissed by Death #1) by Tara Fuller

Goodreads Summary:
Since the car crash that took her father’s life three years ago, Emma’s life has been a freaky—and unending—lesson in caution. Surviving “accidents” has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.

It’s not easy being dead, especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn’s fellow reapers give him hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn’t let her die before, and he’s not about to let her die now. He will protect the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it means sacrificing the only thing he has left...his soul.

My thoughts:
This books sounds really good! I read an excerpt on the author's website and I was hooked! Also, I really like the cover.

Expected Release Date: August 7th 2012

4/5

**This is the 5th book in the series so if you haven't read the previous books, there are possible spoilers ahead!**

Sarra Cannon has done it again. This books was just as fantastic as the others. She has created a great YA paranormal series that takes the reader on a breath-taking journey through a world full of magic and wonder. I love everything about this series. Harper is such a strong character. She really grew in this book. She became more independent and started to fight back and stand up for herself and for what she believed in. Her relationship with Jackson took a new turn as well. They faced new challenges and my heart broke for Harper when she found out the truth about Jackson. One of the things I love about this series is...no love triangle!! Yay! :D Ha sorry but it's a refreshing change from all the other books out there with their pesky love triangles. This book was full of action and suspense. Right from the beginning we are thrust right into the fight. I loved seeing the demon world and seeing how the shadow demons lived. I liked all the new characters we were introduced to, especially Essex (I think that's how his name is spelt). Him and Mary Anne are so cute together and I really hope something happens between them.

The ending was something else! What a twist! Although I did kind of see it coming. The only complaint I have is that now I have to wait until the next book comes out to find out what's next in store for Harper and Jackson!
If you haven't read this series yet then I highly recommend it! It is such a great read and perfect for all YA paranormal lovers out there. Full of romance, suspense, action and magic, this series will take you on a journey you will never forget.

Now hurry up and release Demons Forever! :P

“Welcome to the wonderful world of jealousy, he thought. For the price of admission, you get a splitting headache, a nearly irresistable urge to commit murder, and an inferiority complex. Yippee.”

“Perfect date material, she thought. A vampire with the social equivalent of road rage.
